F1Time - S19 - Race4 - Monaco, Monaco

F1Time was full of activity before the 4th race of this Season.
The site Forums were (still are) having hot discussions on
Data Sharing. The Issue arose when some guys found sites which
shared fuel as well as setup info(I actually tried to find those
sites but i cudnt ). Some of them were supporting it as it was
helpful for the noobs but some were strictly against it. All were
expecting to see TaBu's comments but he wisely stood out of this
topic. But he did something because of this discussion. He changed
the DQP of Monaco track completely and most of the guys, including
me, found it difficult to crack.

In C1, i found that some managers found the DQP issue for Monaco.
Mebbe i am wrong .. But i could see seasoned racers toping the sheets
with just 6 GB. And the 7Ultra guys cudnt match it mite mean what i
said before. The Malaysian Brothers ruled this track as they seem
to have found the Perfect DQP for this track. Yih was the man for
this race as he easily topped WU with a 6GB. Vitor and Eld were behind
him but with 7 Ultra GBs. Sow was 4th seemingly with a lesser GB.
The Qual saw YIh giving up the Pole to Sow. Eld was behind them.
The Malaysians were hoping for a victory with the dominance they showed
in WU and Qual. But Rui Ferrera and Muhammed Assad had other plans.
Rui, seemingly with a Driver Fav Track, won the race and Assad came
behind him holding off Sow. Assad in turn became the first non-Audi
racer to score points as well as Podium. Eld dropped out on Lap3
alongside Dontas in an accident. It was a sigh relief for him as
he himself admitted that he sux'd with the Setup and Orders.

C2G1, our Group saw 5 guys failing to complete the Driver Orders as the
Server was down(some say too slow.. i donno for sure) in the wee hours
of the Race Deadline. I made a comedy of errors in this race. The Lack of
Concentration for my Driver seems to affect me as well :(. I decided to
go on for a 2 Stop Meds strategy but by mistake i put in the Distance
in the Fuel Column. With the Fuel for Hard Tyres set for Meds, i was sure
to have a Tyre Explosion. To avoid that i went in for a cut in my DRP
but that too proved to be too much. I just had 75% of my DRP for the race
and didnt see any tyre wear at all which showed that the DRP reduction
was too much. For the results, it was the same old story. Stephen won
the race from Dmitri Kondrat and Nezam. Tej Almeida with his random
driver scored 3 points and that was a Bonus. The Fact that 11 drops
occured in the race put me into 8th posn till the 76th Lap.. But 3
spins in the last 5 laps costed too much and i missed my first point.
Still the 9th posn was better than what i expected. Teammie Thomas
couldnt finish the race as he had a Engine Explosion in Lap29 and
finished 19th.

Kevin Handley known as Kev|F1 in the Channel is an ex-c1 racer who just recently came back to rejoin the game. Kevin is from Brazil and his performance is often subdued by his countrymate and ex-teammie RC. He s seen with his Favourite Vectra Tuning in this foto.

F1Time - S19 - Race3 - Shanghai, China

The 3rd Round of this F1Time Season was held at Shanghai, China. 'Waiting for Next Season' arrived in China with 'loads' of confidence by the Point Scoring Finish of Manager Tsigalko in Bahrain. I for one thought of racing after a 'non-race' in Bahrain and so this shouldbe interesting for me as well. I was determined not to make the mistakes which i had done in the First Two races.
In C1, Vitor Ribero continued his good form and topped the WU charts justifying his DC position. Eld was determined to have a go at Vitor and he came up with the 2nd posn in the WU. Lex who was going through a bad run in the last few seasons has finally changed into a Podium racer. He was third fastest in WU. The Season Leader Sow too was racing and he did his WU in 1:18:132. The Surprise package was Nuno Duarte who came up with a time of 1:18:077, thus pushing sow down to 5th place . With the Temperatures just around the 30 mark and a lengthy inout time of 25 secs, most of the top runners went for Stop Strategy. Eld went in with a lil less fuel than others for the Pole Position and he achieved it. Vitor went for a bit more fuel and that cost him the Pole. He missed it by a mere + 0.031 secs. The starting grid was very much the same as the WU except that Nuno Duarte who went in for a 1 Stop strategy and was down in 14th position. The start was pretty normal but RC lost 2 positions in the first 2 laps though he got one back in the next. Woodi and Yih kept changing positions and that was it. The Top of the Pack didnt see any overtaking and by Lap18 when Eld pitted, Vitor took the lead. He was a mere 2 secs behind. Lap 20 saw Vitor, Lex, HS, Arus, RC and Jonny pitting. Vitor used that 2 laps to pull out a 2 sec advantage over Eld and when he rejoined he was 4th. He immediately went back to the Top after the Malaysian Brothers and woodi pitted in the next lap. Everything was looking good for Vitor for another win until Lap37, when his Engine Failed. Eld said Thanks and took the victory. Old teammies Lex and Sow also got Podium finishes. HS came fourth while Nuno Duarte with his 1 stop strategy came 5th. woodi, who was tipped to be the first non-Audi racer to score points in c1 this season, missed out on points and settled for 9th.

C2G1 again was dominated by the Nezam-Stephen Duo. These 2 guys are simply ruling c2g1 as of now and will continue , i hope, unless one of the new tested engines come in and challenge them. In the WU, Nezam followed Stephen and Franz Schmied came in 3rd followed by Luciano Mandler. The rest were a bit slow compared to these guys. In the Qual, Stephen, Nezam and Mandler went in for less fuel and all these were quite close. But in the end, Stephen won it by a mere .014 secs from Nezam. edi who came in 4th was more than a second behind Mandler. Since i went in for a 2 Stop Strategy, i came up with a 7th position in the Grid. When the race began, Nezam lost out to Mandler in Lap2. But he put in some boost laps and came first after lap5. I too had a good outing at that point of time when i moved into 4th position although lost6 secs within a span of 4 laps. Lap18 saw Stephen putting down a fastest lap which almost gave three quarters of a second advantage over Nezam. I was still holding 4th posn, a 24 sec gap from Stephen, with edi and JTix close behind. Lap19 saw the first batch of 2 Stoppers pitting. Nezam's crew was better and that helped him come out in front of Stephen. Mandler, Jesper and myself also pitted. But with the slow crew, i could only manage a 12th place on return. The leader was now edi with Schmied behind him. edi pitted the next lap and his pitcrew put him in front of me when he came out. Also Irman came up with the fastest pittime in our group and that gave him a 10 sec advantage over me. By now, my Driver was tired and i never noticed his endurance level till this race got over. He was putting down hopeless laps which almost made me think of firing him. Stephen on the meantime was trying desperately to get ahead of his teammie. Nezam was quick but Stefan was the quicker of the two. Nezam spun in Lap 32, which helped Stephen to overtake him. By the end of the next lap, the one stoppers (Schmied, Gritsai, Kosev and Mikhail)completed their pit routine and Stephen was back to the Lead. I was 7th by thenand aftermy pit at Lap39, i came behind Mikhail in the 10th posn. A lil luck was on my side when Mikhail had a tyre wear at the last lap and i leapfrogged to the 9th place.

'Waiting for Next Season' managers went in for different strategies this time. While i decided to race, Thomas took this race as the one to save some money. In the end, the money i spent was good for nothing as i could nt get a point and finished in a disappointing 9th place a lap down on the Winner. Thomas was 2 laps down and crossed the line 2 laps behind in 16th position.

F1Time - S19 - Race2 - Sakhir, Bahrain

From the chillness of the Turkish land, the F1Time Teams were awaited
with the 'Red Heat' of the Persian Gulf. The Second round was the Bahrain
GP at Sakhir. Track Temperatures were at a record high for the F1Time
races with the raceday temperature touching 47 Degrees Celsius.
Fortunately this time the Telecast was Perfect and TaBu seems to have
sorted out the problems we faced in the Season starter.

C1 WU showed continued good form of Vitor Ribero. The Podium Finish
in Turkey must have lifted his spirits. Eld , RC and Sow were behind
him as Arus, Vaidas and Yih went for a quite race. The Pole Stealer was
Eld this time and as was the case in the first race. Pole means a
compromise in the race strategy. Here too Eld's option didnt pay out
that much. He could manage only a single point with his strategy. Vitor
won the race followed by RC and Sow. Jonny and Lex also are in
consistent form this season and they showed it with results as well.
They completed the Top5.

C2G1 was again dominated by the Nezam - Stephen duo. edi and JTix
after their first race crash are all fired up this race as well to
compensate the points they missed in Turkey. Well.. everything was
going well till the Qualification. Jesper went for an extra Pit and
took the Pole. Stephen settled for Second place as he was on Hard
compounds. Nezam would have taken the pole less the first sector
mistake he did. So with Nezam down in 10th place and Mikhail, known
for his crashes with Wendy Kemper and also for his high
Overtaking/Defense distribution, behind him, the race was all set for
some fireworks. Nothing happened in the First 7 Laps where Nezam
quitely moved up places to reach 2nd. JTix was leading and Stephen was
third. Then on 8th Lap, the dreaded move came. Nezam who was faster
caught JTix on the curves and overtook him. Seeing a slight window of
oppurtunity, Stephen too tried a move which didnt prove that 'smart'.
The Result - a crash between JTix and Stephen. Luckily none of the
Drivers suffered major injuries. Then the race from there was a boring
one. edi got a podium finish. Mikhail made up some positions to finish
6th.

Thomas and myself had a long discussion before we settled to name our
Team 'Waiting for next season'. Thomas had a nice race this time. He
was fully repaired and that gave him a valuable 5th place. And me as
usual, made mistakes. I was unrepaired to save some money. But again
came the Fuel as the villain. I decided on 3 Stop Meds, but put the
fuel for 2 Stop Strategy.. It was tyre wear time and lucky that i didnt
blow out. After all, defeats are a part of my life and i am working to
correct it asap.

F1Time - S19 - Race1 - Istanbul, Turkey

The start of the new season and everyone was waiting to see how they
perform in the first race. The First Race of every season was a
disaster in terms of live telecast or due to the game engine problems.
Fortunately this time we had the Qual going smoothly, but the race
went into trouble cause of something new which TaBu added new to the
site. The Result.. the race was calculated twice and the results
changed a lot. Some gained while some like me lost out.

In C1, the WU was dominated by the Malaysian Brothers with Yih coming
ahead of Sow. Arus and Vaidas who came into c1 this season with a
nice and heavy balance were also at the Top. Add to them the usual
suspects Eld and RC. The 'UnderPerformer' Vitor Ribero was also there
at the top as usual for the opening race. So all in all, the race
was going to be a thriller. In the unofficial race which was later
rerun, RC went for the Pole but that strategy came out to be the
wrong one. Arus 'won' the race followed by Eld and Vitor in the
Podium. But on rerun, Both Arus and Eld lost out. Sow, who had
finished 5th first came out to be winner. He was joined by Vitor and
Arus. Yih's 4th place gave the Malaysian Brothers a good start to the
TC. Eld could manage only a 5th this time. RC and Vaidas who are there
in my Max Top10 had a disappointing outing. They could manage only
26th and 27th as they could not finish the race.

C2G1 WU was dominated by a new team featuring Nezam Ghalebi and
Stephen Mawson. The pole was taken by Nezam who had one of the best
designs and the best car in the group. The Duo from England ran away
from the Pack in the race as well and gave the team the perfect start
to the season. Luis Rocha took the remaining Podium Spot. Our group
also had victims of this rerun and most prominent was edi (Andreas
Buettner). edi came 2nd in the first race which Stephen winning the
race comfortably. But he DNF d in the second race, which was
disappointing. The Gainers for the race absolutely enjoyed the rerun
with Podium finishes. Both Nezam and Luis DNF d in the first run.

The Race was a disappointment for our team as well. Thomas came in
12th posn while i had a disappointing 17th posn though i had the
12th best time in WU. I dont have any thing to blame upon other than
my Fuel settings. I didnt go for the 103% fuel and the Spins in
Lap11 and Lap50 made me make a unscheduled pitstop with just one lap
to go. And that put me down to 17th posn from 11th. In the First run,
Thomas had 9th posn while i followed him with a 11th place. Well..
its mistakes all the time and i dont think i am concentrating that
well on the game now.. Its time to get my act together..

F1Time - S19 - MaxTop10 Bets

This time around, i went for a slightly riskier Top10 Bet.
Eld and RC usually finds my Top5 list. But i bet more on
the Malaysian Brothers and the NavArus Team. This is my Top10 Bet

Yih Liang Su
Arunas Babrauskas******
Vaidas Navickas
Sow Oneplus
Joakim Sjöblom*
Rodrigo Coutinho**
Vitor Ribeiro
Donatas Jerusevicius
Robertas Petniunas
Jon Payton

F1Time - S19 - New Team

This is quite annoying. Nothing seems to be working for me to
build a permanent team. I am changing my teammate every season
for the last 6 seasons. Now in the 7th season too, i am in the
same boat. Fellow Indian Arun Ahuja and myself had a nice team
going but the promotion/relegation stuff made us split. My last
season teammie Jesper Wijnja is leaving the team to create a new
team. That made me look for another manager and luckily i had a
good friend of mine who recently promoted to c2. Thomas Pappaionnou
from Greece is my new teammie and though we hadnt partener'd before,
we have a nice friendship going in the IRC. Incidently his friend
was my teammate before for a couple of seasons and thats how i met
him.

The Retirements

Season 19 is seeing lots of action even before it started. 4 c1
racers retired which includes 2 Champions Kostya and Vlad.
Another active member Mouse alias Andrew Mckendry also moved
out because of his studies. Well thats good in one way because
noone wants to loose out on their academics because of a game.
These retirements mean more promotions to c1 and so from c2g1
its Karen Miller Pace's and Thiago Coutinho's turn. Because of
Vlad's late retirement i see that our group has one manager less
and hope that one works to our advantage.

S19 - First Looks at C1

If my group surprised me with the Engine Choices, c1 had more surprises
for me. First of all 3 managers retired which includes Kostya. Mebbe
he wants to start back from c5 as Arus did sometime back. If thats not
enough, then the engine choice of Vlad was another shock. He is with
Yamahaha. Am i joking? ofcourse not..! The only reason i see behind
this is mebbe a busy work schedule for Vlad which forced him not to
login and select the Suppliers.
Well Leaving those aside, the current c1 squad(a reduce 27 member
which would be expanded anytime) selects Aodi for the Majority. 17
Managers stuck to Aodi while just 3 selected Mersedes. Others seem to
be saving. Tof made that very clear by selecting the Wolksvagen Engine
which is free. The Bugatits mite be a challenge while saving but I am
not sure about the Totoyas and Renualts seen in c1. Totoya mite be
challenging Aodis at a later stage, but will their Reliability let them
down. For Renualts, the Engine needs to have more power. By the time
they catch up with the Aodi, its almost Season End. So these are some
questions to be answered by the season.

The Engine Distribution in c1
Aodi 17
Mersedes 03
Bugatit 03
Renualt 02
Totoya 01
Yamahaha 01

Tyre Selection Pattern
Bridgestones 08
Goodyeah 12
Pipirelli 07

NavArus team is going with Bridges while the competitors RC, Eld are
with Goodyeahs. The Malaysian Brothers also selected Bridges which in
my opinion is an indication of their look at the Team Title,if not DC.
Anyway the TC is gonna change hands from Russia who had their
stranglehold on that for quite some seasons now.

Season 19 is Go

Well Well Well!! Tadas proved my predictions wrong. He made a surprise
when he had done the restart on Wednesday itself. Earlier i thought it
would happen as usual after Friday's race. The First thing i checked
was the Driver Market. And woohoo!! i won one. An inexperienced Young
Driver, but not that expensive. Now i plan to hold him for sometime
unless he doesnt rise to my expectations.

Then, when i checked my Group, it was really a surprise. First 10 of
the managers are with Bugatit, which includes me as well. Another 6
are with Frod and 1 with Peugeot. So thats a likely 17 managers saving.
Add to it Mikhail who almost confirmed that he s also saving. But with
a powerful engine as Aodi he can almost straightaway go for Points and
can have a look at the Promotion to the Elite c1. Nezam who had the
worst engine in c2g1 last time looks all set for Promotion. He has a
Aodi at his Disposal and provided the Engine stays as it is, he s a
sure bet. Another thing which caught my surprise was Irman's choice.
I thought Renualt was battered, by Tadas, after last seasons surprise
pace. By choosing Renualt mebbe Irman has someother plans, which might
unfold as the races go by.

The Engine Distribution Pattern in c2g1
Bugatit 11
Frod 06
Aodi 04
Mersedes 04
Renualt 02
BML 01
Puegeot 01
Hodna 01

And Tyre Distribution of c2g1
Goodyeah 17
Michelim 06
Pipirelli 06
Bridgestone 01

Majority goes for Goodyeah and just one manager thought that Bridges
would be an advantage for the season.

To be Continued.. (First Looks at c1)

The Master

Here's the guy who actually helped us all in more than one way.
Providing this awesome game for free and more than that made a
platform for all of us to meet, exchange views and be friends.
He is Tadas Bubelevicius, 'he who knows it all' Gamemaster, from
Lithuania currently in Canada. His signature statement 'Whats the
worse thing that can happen to a game? Gamemaster realizing there
is a life outside' is really worth a thought. Now that he's married,
we all thought the game would take a backstage. But i see him much
the same as before, infact now he is able to take tough decisions.
I know that F1Time is his wife, but not sure about whether first or
second :).

Here he's seen in his wedding dress and the charming Giedre.

Waiting Waiting Waiting

With Sep15 in, the reset should be happening today. But with the past experiences, I am wondering when the restart would really happen. By all means, i need to believe that it will only happen after 'Friday Race' as usual. Mebbe TaBu doesnt get any free time as usual for the restart and now that he is married, it mite be more difficult for him.
The Only relief for the week was the Monza GP. But with Kimi dropping in between for the 3rd time in last 4 races, it was just another show for me. Ferrari is doing brilliant as usual and McLaren needs to pull up their socks soon if they wanna be World Beaters again.

New Decisions to be Made

With the new Season S19 starting next week and the Suppliers to be signed by 14th September, i am having a difficult time choosing the Suppliers. Last season when i went for Totoya, i was thinking of racing rather than economy and promotions. I was able to race most races but the design and the crew didnt help my cause of scoring BIG Points. I scored a point or two in a couple of race, but that had made the situation bad. Now most of the managers go for a Saving Season or two before they make a Promotion. Though its boring, its kinda giving success to those managers. Now i need to think whether i shd enjoy or seriouly race here in F1Time. Enjoyment means not much thinking, but if we are for serious racing, then its Headache time.

Winner - Vitor Ribero
4. Canada - Montreal
Winner - RC
5. France - Magny Cours

Winner - Vlad
14. Spain - Barcelona
Winner - Vlad
15. Sweden - Anderstorp
Winner - RC
16. Turkey - Istanbul
Winner - Sow
17. USA - Indianapolis
Winner - Vlad

There were a total of 8 different race winners this season. Interesting to
note that Vlad's total of 6 wins was still not enough to make him the
Champ. In Contrast, the Season Champion RC had just 4 wins showing
that consistent performance scores more. Vlad had another feat when
he completed a Hattrick Win in Races 6,7 and 8. Sow was the only
other manager who could win more than once. Kostya, Eld, Woodi,
Miranda and Ribero grabbed a win each this season.

Max Top10 Winner For Season 18

Though i led the MTT10 in the middle of the season, i could not hold on to that advantage. Its kind of difficult to judge the c1 managers these days. Mebbe i should look into Weather Prediction more than this MTT10 :)
The Winner is Arunas Viskintas by a good Margin.
The Top6 was almost similar except at the Top.
Poor Outings by Vitor Ribero, Joe Himeji and R Gimbutas screwed up my bet.

1. Arunas Viskintas - 1315
Vladimir Islentiev*** 15 x 15
Rodrigo Coutinho* 20 x 15
Konstantin Sedov** 12 x 20
Joakim Sjöblom* 10 x 20
Sow Oneplus 8 x 20
Johan Skog 6 x 20
Felipe Miranda 1 x 10
Vitor Ribeiro 3 x 20
Aleksander Bracko 0 x 8
Rui Ferreira 0 x 6
2. Felipe Miranda - 1194
3. Bill Trifonopoulos - 1164
4. Aswin Mathew - 1150
5. Guilherme Rohden Echelmeier - 1105
6. Ohene Antwi - 1098
7. Vladimir Islentiev*** - 1088
8. Carlos Gago - 1063

Foto - Kostya

Konstantin Sedov, known as the 'Enlighted' or Kostya, is known for his sharp comments ; be it on a highly respected manager or a noob who just entered the game. His Theory is simple 'Nothing in life is Free. Go earn it'. So if you ask him for a tip, then most probably you wud be disappointed. He was the first one to challenge Arus's dominance in c1. But now, for someone unknown reasons, he has slipped back from his 'Unbeatable' position, mebbe because of complacency. He is from Russia and alongside Vlad keeps the Nations Championship to themselves all the time.

Kostya - Konstantin Sedov

Season 18 comes to an end and the Champ is ..

Rodrigo Coutinho !!!
The Situation in c1 was more biased to c1 at the end of last season. With Vlad realizing his limited chances, he took the wiser decision to back off in Race 16 which gave RC his second Golden Star in 18 seasons.
The Last 2 races of this season were held in Turkey and USA. Sow Oneplus had a terrific outing at Turkey which saw him taking his second win of the season. D Jerusevicius and Kostya completed the Podium with RC taking 4th place. Though Vlad lost his chance for DC, he went all out for the final race in US and won the race with his teammie Kostya coming 2nd. Yih Liang Su, brother of last race winner sow, came third for his best finish of the season. The Final standings are
1. R.Coutinho* 102
2. V.Islentiev*** 95
3. K.Sedov** 82
4. J.Sjöblom* 69
5. S.Oneplus 41
6. J.Skog 38
7. D.Jerusevicius 32
8. V.Ribeiro 27

C2G1 was also coming to an exciting finish with the NavArus team being challenged single-handedly by Osterloh. In the end, it was a close finish with just a point difference at the top and another 2 points with the 3rd place manager. Osterloh won a terrific season and full credits to him. The Final Standings look like this
1. Andre Osterloh 104
2. Vaidas Navickas 103
3. Arunas Babrauskas****** 101
4. Sergei Timoshenko 62
5. Karen Miller Pace 49
6. Thiago Coutinho 35
7. Andreas Buettner 29
8. Tej Almeida 22

Foto - Stefan Hauer

One F1Time addict! :)
The Move till c2 was cakewalk for Stefan, but from then on, it was a RoadBlock. Stefan Hauer, from Germany, is in c2 for 6 seasons now. No Relegation.. No Promotion.. Certainly a 'hardworking' F1Time-r.

SteFantas - Stefan Hauer

Season 18 - Week 5

This week saw races in Imola(San Marino), Barcelona(Spain) and Anderstop(Sweden). And the team was satisfied with the weeks results and performance. 'We Drive on Heineken' added 10 points to its total and now we have 22 points which puts us in the 7th posn. The weeks highlights was the 5th posn finish by Jesper in Imola and a similar finish for me in Anderstop. Now that we are into the final 2 races, the team plans to extend its points run.
C1 battle almost came to a result stage by this week. RC added another 2 points to his 8 point lead over Vlad by consistent Podiums and a win. He had two 2nd place finishes followed by a win. Vlad on the other hand had 2 wins in a row, but the money constraints put him on just a 5th place in Sweden. Now also the economy doesnt look good for Vlad with just 1.8M against RC's 7.1M. RC could easily pocket his 2nd star unless the situation gets tense by an RC Drop. Vlad, i think, mite have to settle for the Team Championship with Kostya. All are looking forward for the last 2 races. The c1 Top4 are
1. R.Coutinho* 95
2. V.Islentiev*** 85
3. J.Sjöblom* 69
4. K.Sedov** 68

C2G1 is again close with respect to the DC title. The TC battle was over as soon as the season started. The Only question was the DC Champion. The two toprunners had 2 podium finishes including a win and a Drop in the last week. While Osterloh had a win at Imola and a 3rd place at Sweden, Arus won at Sweden and a 2nd place in Barcelona. Now the standings for the DC look like this.
1. Andre Osterloh 92
2. Arunas Babrauskas****** 91
3. Vaidas Navickas 85

Infact , without the last lap overtaking in Sweden, which saw Osterloh overtaking Vaidas in the last lap, the equation wud have been slightly different.

The Max Top10 also flopped for me when my prediction for Vlad went wrong completely.
After the win in Season 16 and the miss in Season17, i was expecting a good result here as well. As of now, I am pretty satisfied with my show. After all, its some satisfaction when we ourselves cant win races :)
The Top10 in Max Top10 are
1 Felipe Miranda - 1236
2 Ohene Antwi - 1218
