F1Time - S19 - Race2 - Sakhir, Bahrain

From the chillness of the Turkish land, the F1Time Teams were awaited
with the 'Red Heat' of the Persian Gulf. The Second round was the Bahrain
GP at Sakhir. Track Temperatures were at a record high for the F1Time
races with the raceday temperature touching 47 Degrees Celsius.
Fortunately this time the Telecast was Perfect and TaBu seems to have
sorted out the problems we faced in the Season starter.

C1 WU showed continued good form of Vitor Ribero. The Podium Finish
in Turkey must have lifted his spirits. Eld , RC and Sow were behind
him as Arus, Vaidas and Yih went for a quite race. The Pole Stealer was
Eld this time and as was the case in the first race. Pole means a
compromise in the race strategy. Here too Eld's option didnt pay out
that much. He could manage only a single point with his strategy. Vitor
won the race followed by RC and Sow. Jonny and Lex also are in
consistent form this season and they showed it with results as well.
They completed the Top5.

C2G1 was again dominated by the Nezam - Stephen duo. edi and JTix
after their first race crash are all fired up this race as well to
compensate the points they missed in Turkey. Well.. everything was
going well till the Qualification. Jesper went for an extra Pit and
took the Pole. Stephen settled for Second place as he was on Hard
compounds. Nezam would have taken the pole less the first sector
mistake he did. So with Nezam down in 10th place and Mikhail, known
for his crashes with Wendy Kemper and also for his high
Overtaking/Defense distribution, behind him, the race was all set for
some fireworks. Nothing happened in the First 7 Laps where Nezam
quitely moved up places to reach 2nd. JTix was leading and Stephen was
third. Then on 8th Lap, the dreaded move came. Nezam who was faster
caught JTix on the curves and overtook him. Seeing a slight window of
oppurtunity, Stephen too tried a move which didnt prove that 'smart'.
The Result - a crash between JTix and Stephen. Luckily none of the
Drivers suffered major injuries. Then the race from there was a boring
one. edi got a podium finish. Mikhail made up some positions to finish
6th.

Thomas and myself had a long discussion before we settled to name our
Team 'Waiting for next season'. Thomas had a nice race this time. He
was fully repaired and that gave him a valuable 5th place. And me as
usual, made mistakes. I was unrepaired to save some money. But again
came the Fuel as the villain. I decided on 3 Stop Meds, but put the
fuel for 2 Stop Strategy.. It was tyre wear time and lucky that i didnt
blow out. After all, defeats are a part of my life and i am working to
correct it asap.
