Season 18 - Week 5

This week saw races in Imola(San Marino), Barcelona(Spain) and Anderstop(Sweden). And the team was satisfied with the weeks results and performance. 'We Drive on Heineken' added 10 points to its total and now we have 22 points which puts us in the 7th posn. The weeks highlights was the 5th posn finish by Jesper in Imola and a similar finish for me in Anderstop. Now that we are into the final 2 races, the team plans to extend its points run.
C1 battle almost came to a result stage by this week. RC added another 2 points to his 8 point lead over Vlad by consistent Podiums and a win. He had two 2nd place finishes followed by a win. Vlad on the other hand had 2 wins in a row, but the money constraints put him on just a 5th place in Sweden. Now also the economy doesnt look good for Vlad with just 1.8M against RC's 7.1M. RC could easily pocket his 2nd star unless the situation gets tense by an RC Drop. Vlad, i think, mite have to settle for the Team Championship with Kostya. All are looking forward for the last 2 races. The c1 Top4 are
1. R.Coutinho* 95
2. V.Islentiev*** 85
3. J.Sjöblom* 69
4. K.Sedov** 68

C2G1 is again close with respect to the DC title. The TC battle was over as soon as the season started. The Only question was the DC Champion. The two toprunners had 2 podium finishes including a win and a Drop in the last week. While Osterloh had a win at Imola and a 3rd place at Sweden, Arus won at Sweden and a 2nd place in Barcelona. Now the standings for the DC look like this.
1. Andre Osterloh 92
2. Arunas Babrauskas****** 91
3. Vaidas Navickas 85

Infact , without the last lap overtaking in Sweden, which saw Osterloh overtaking Vaidas in the last lap, the equation wud have been slightly different.

The Max Top10 also flopped for me when my prediction for Vlad went wrong completely.
After the win in Season 16 and the miss in Season17, i was expecting a good result here as well. As of now, I am pretty satisfied with my show. After all, its some satisfaction when we ourselves cant win races :)
The Top10 in Max Top10 are
1 Felipe Miranda - 1236
2 Ohene Antwi - 1218
3 Vladimir Islentiev*** - 1138
4 Arunas Viskintas - 1135
5 Aswin Mathew - 1120
6 Valentinas Suminas - 1119
7 Rui Ferreira - 1106
8 Hélio Borges - 1076
9 Soon Hui Lim - 1064
10 Bill Trifonopoulos - 1030
